![]() Downside is Firestarter armor won't do much when you're facing 'Mechs with more tons of weapons than your entire Firestarter masses, and if you're carrying ammo, it's eventually going to cook off and carry chunks of you with it, out to parts unknown. Even if you're just starting with a bare arm, you may be able to chew your way into the CT with 4-6MGs fired twice in a row. At that point, if you still want to use your Firestarter, I think MGs look appealing you can delay then position yourself to max your chances of firing on armor-stripped locations, and get huge crits from MG spam with two turns in a row. By the time you're facing more than one or two big heavies or assaults per mission, though, the incapacitation tactics start to lose their appeal quickly. So I agree with you that you should try 6xFlamer if you want to really play the heat game. ![]() Strengths Only variant to include ballistic hardpoints. ![]() The Rifleman is also renowned as an anti-aircraft platform thanks to its famous Garret D2J targeting system the Quickdraw, by contrast, uses a Dynatec targeting computer. Like all Hero 'Mechs, the Quickdraw QKD-IV4 'IV-Four' provides a 30 C-Bill bonus. The Quickdraw ’s initial production model, the QKD-4G, carried a single LRM-10, giving it less than half of the RFL-3N’s firepower beyond the traditional short range brackets. It comes from the factory with Double Heat Sinks and Ferro Fibrous armor, but has fewer jump jets. I'm pretty strongly on the side that says if you're going to do a thing with your 'Mech loadout, do it as well as you can (ie, min/max). Quickdraw Hardpoints Overview The QKD-IV4 is a Hero 'Mech and features a mixture of all three weapon types. I don't love managing enemy heat, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
